Sidewalk-Chalk Wars and the King Of Evansville, Wyoming
By John Q. Public

Citizens of Evansville, Wyoming were greeted Monday morning with gay and transgender flags waving in the wind along the walkways to their local government building. According to Cowboy State Daily, this decision did not come from an official Evansville Town Resolution, but was instead asserted unilaterally by authoritarian Mayor of Evansville, WY Candance Machado.
In lieu of any necessary official decision by the Evansville Town Council, Machado was apparently just creatively expressing her First Amendment rights on the government property of which she serves as Mayor, yet views as her personal domain to adorn with symbols of her own private beliefs.
In the 2024 Oil City News Election Questionnaire Machado emphasized the following:
- When working in government as elected officials our personal beliefs and values should be separate from our time as an elected official.
- Leadership is placing your personal beliefs on a shelf and making an informed decision that will impact many from a place of clarity and forward thinking.
It can be assumed that Machado’s defense of sneaking around under the cover of dark with her fists-full of pride flags to the Evansville Townhall was carried out during her personal time.
In response to Mayor Machado’s monocratic decision, a local citizen fought back by chalking equally disturbing symbols of swastikas along Evansville Townhall walkways, threatening to plant flags with the same vile symbols if Evansville government does not remove King Machado’s pride flags.
Then, in response to the disturbing sidewalk swastikas, additional citizens brought their own colorful chalk to express their First Amendment rights – drawing over the top of the swastikas.
So while Los Angeles rioters attempt to loot and burn their way towards an intended communistic takeover, we too have our battles here in Wyoming that are worth following.
As paid agitators and union thugs are scheduled to be bussed across the nation this weekend for their “NO KINGS” protests (and other names), it is almost certain that fellow traveler King Candance Machado, will be given a wink and a pass.
