It’s been a while since our last newsletter, and I pray this one finds you healthy, considering this extraordinary flu season. Let us all pray that our elected officials do not take this course of action every flu season.
Well, the legislature finished a couple of months ago – but wait there’s more! A special session may be in the works. Just when we thought our pockets were safe. Can anyone be safe now days?
I’m sure all of you have been following the traditional news sources, but you may not have checked out some local sources, and some national, packed with some valuable information. Below are links to these sites with a little introduction. I encourage you to visit the sites and see for yourselves the information they offer.
First on the list is the Wyoming Transparency Commission, http://wyomingtransparency.com/. Here you will find on its home page a chronological listing of the Corona Virus here in Wyoming. But be sure to check out its Blog where you will find an abundance of information of happenings around the great state of Wyoming. It’s a treasure trove of data with links to resources.
Next on the list is WyoRINO, https://wyorino.com/. This site seems to be a newcomer on Wyoming’s political scene – well, at least since late last year. And its ill-founded notoriety is actually packed with facts that are very pertinent to every Wyoming Republican voter. Facebook had many nay-sayers chiming in of their claim of anonymity, while totally ignoring the facts. Sort of sounds like Progressives whining about facts and prefer to shoot the messenger – did someone say “Rules for Radicals, Rule 13”? This site gives a score for Republicans in the House and Senate. It also explains the scoring rationale. The idea of scoring politicians is not new, it’s been done for a very long time. The next site of interest has been doing it for quite some time for all fifty states.
Here is the next on our list, The American Conservative Union (ACU), http://acuratings.conservative.org/state-ratings-2019/. The link jumps you directly to their page regarding the 50 states, click on Wyoming in the map and you will see their scores for our Wyoming legislators. This is good information folks! Don’t go to the polls without it. It seems that WyoRINO and ACU are on the same wavelength – for 2019 ACU ranked Michael Von Flatern as the Lowest Republican and he earned WyoRINO’s RINO of the Month for this May. Those darn pesky facts!
Another site that may interest you is the Wyoming Conservative Network, https://wcn.today/. It’s a site that aggregates news from mostly conservative Wyoming sites, and others sites that mention Wyoming. This site has promise in becoming a one-stop site for conservative news, offering the reader an opportunity to see what’s happening around Wyoming with a conservative lens.
Last, but not least, on our list is, of course, The Wyoming Net, https://thewyoming.net/. The source of this newsletter. If you haven’t visited the site recently, we encourage you to do so. We have recent articles regarding the dispute in Teton County, Casper City Council, and others.
Let us all hope our economy opens up soon and rebounds.
