Can The Judicial Beast Be Tamed?

by Mike Pyatt

Last week the 4th Circuit Court ignored the D.C. Heller Case, that went to the Supreme Court, upholding our Second Amendment right, and upheld Maryland’s ban on so-called “assault style weapons.” The majority naively claimed that since the semi-automatic AR-15 looked like the M16, military fully automatic rifle used in wartime, they were “dangerous and unusual,” therefore, they don’t meet the threshold of Second Amendment protection in a 10 to 4 ruling. Citizens shouldn’t have access, they ruled. It’s clear that the majority don’t understand how an AR-15 works. This ruling will undoubtedly go to the Supreme Court. Pray Neil Gorsuch dons his robe soon.If the current eight justices split, it goes back to the of the 4th Circuit ruling.Elections have consequences. Imagine if Hillary Clinton was elected President. We’d have no Gorsuch. No chance to restrain the high court. read more

Advocates of Gun Control

Advocates of gun control, Communists, Socialists, Liberals, Progressives, and democrats, all want the same thing; taking citizens’ ability to defend themselves from a tyrannical government. All of whom continually lie about their objective. And many of them are referred to by Communist as useful idiots.

Their arguments are totally illogical and irrational, but their arguments are not for consumption of the sane, rather for their voting base, the useful idiots. The Communists understand gun control all too well, and they do not care about you, your family or country, they only care about their desire to control the “masses”. Elected officials advocating gun control need to be removed from office, period. You will waste your time arguing with a Communist or their useful idiots. read more

On His Side

by Mike Pyatt

President Abraham Lincoln purportedly replied to a letter regarding the North and South War, asking him if he believed God was on his side. He said, “Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”  Throughout or brief history as a Republic, politicians and leaders have invoked God’s help in moments and periods of tumult, trials, terror and celebration. At Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address, March 4, 1865, invoked our Beneficent Father, “Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away…” Immediately after the 9/11 terrorist attack President George W. Bush, at the National Cathedral, followed Lincoln’s pattern, invoking God on our behalf. In 1908, President Theodore Roosevelt’s Proclamation of a National Day of Thanksgiving and Prayer beseeched Him for “a continuation of your great blessings.” Episcopalian, George Washington’s Circular Address to the United States, June 8, 1783, petitioned “Almighty God,” to “keep the United States in your holy protection.” read more

So Cal Berkeley’s Back?

by Mike Pyatt

At a higher education symposium, in early 1960, a parent asked naively, “Why be educated?” The reply, “Because statistically an educated man makes so much more money a year.” A student who rejected that “impoverished value,” asked, “Why make more money?” A erudite professor opined, “So that you can send your children to the university.” What will that money buy in liberal bastions of higher education today?

In 1964, at Berkeley, “The Free Speech Movement” arose simultaneously with the “hippie world of drugs.” At first it was neither Left or Right, but rather a “call for freedom to express any political view on Sproul Plaza.” It rapidly became the “Dirty Speech Movement,” in which freedom had become shouting four-letter words into a microphone. It became a place for the New Left which espoused the teaching of the neo-Marxist Herbert Marcuse. It wasn’t coincidental that it was simultaneous with the Vietnam student protests as 25,000 American troops served in Southeast Asia. read more
