Class envy and division. A Democrat staple. By traditional standards LeBron James is a privileged nearly billionaire elite. But his blackness cancels the “privileged” moniker. Joe Biden is stoking the embers of “systemic racism” with his recent comments on the “Tulsa Massacre” one-hundred years ago, “Some injustices are so heinous, so horrific, so grievous, they cannot be buried, no matter how hard people try.” Few disagree about what happened in Tulsa. Pure evil. Beyond that, what will President Biden do to change the economic trajectory of these historic poorly performing cities, that after four years under President Trump, blacks and other minorities, experienced unparalleled economic growth. Biden and his ilk cavalierly rip off the bandage from an old wound, pick at the scab, exposing it to further infection and pain, while elite scoundrels escape those war zones, fleeing to gated communities, with armed security. From their lofty balcony, they can afford to prattle on, unscathed, about defunding law enforcement, and invalidating the Second Amendment right for the most vulnerable.
Former AG, Eric Holder mocked us as a “nation of cowards” for being unwilling to have a “national conversation” about race. It was code word for “our monologue version.” The late conservative columnist and economist Walter Williams contended that the most dangerous cities to live in are Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Minneapolis, Newark, Philadelphia, and St.Louis were once thriving cites, are now trapped in steep economic and moral decline. What do these cities have in common? They have large black populations, and they’ve been run by Democrats for over half century. Black people have the capacity to run criminals out of their neighborhoods, according Williams, “Suppose it was the Ku Klux Klan riding through the black neighborhoods, murdering 7,000 blacks year after year. How many black people would be willing to wait for the Klansman to behave themselves. Or wait for a government program?”
Shelby Steele, Hoover Institution Fellow, wrote a book entitled, “White Guilt.” When asked about George Floyd, and the power of victimhood, he noted, “So it feeds this old model of operation that we’ve developed, that America is guilty of racism, guilty of sin and has been for four centuries, and minorities are victims who are entitled.” He added the outcome is predictable, “We want more. And more. We want society to give us more to help us, and so forth. Society is responsible for us, because racism is so systemic.” Steele maintains today opportunity’s around every corner. “Victims” are distracted by the lure of the government dole. Steele grew up black in the 50’s, when segregation was real. Victimhood was unknown to his dad, a man with a third grade education, who bought three ramshackle houses, rebuilt them, rented them out, clawing his way out of poverty to independence.
Ben Carson, whose rise to world renowned surgeon from urban Detroit poverty, belies the liberal “cradle to grave” agenda that fostered this environment of black dependency. The signposts were there for decades. First, was weakening the black family. In 1950, only 18% of black female-headed households, as opposed to 68% today. In 1925, in NY City, 85% of black households were two-parent. The black illegitimacy rate’s nearing 70%. In 1940’s that rate was about 15%. Second, Carson warned not capitulating as victims, exchanging self-reliance for crippling government mandates, or relying on race hustlers who’ve spent their lives shaking down corporations for their living. For years black communities endured poverty without relinquishing their historic trust in God, shunning debilitating government entanglement that enslaves the body and soul.
Hating another, for any reason, is sinful. Some grew up in a environment that fostered hatred, for skin color alone, often unwittingly. That’s no excuse. Whenever favor, power, preference or privilege, granted solely on the basis of skin color, or legislative fiat, is governmental allocation of advantage. Picking winners and losers. Liberals and Progressives claim they want “a dialogue on race.” There’s a paucity of evidence to support that hollow claim. Many recall during the 2016, campaign, candidate Trump, appealed to black voters, “What the hell do you have to loose?” Now they know. Once again, those most “victimized” by Democrats and Socialist agendas are blacks and other minorities, addicted to an panoply of “freebies” that, in the end, the cost is inconvertible.
Victor Davis Hanson understood historic racism such as the anti-slavery movement birthed the war-of-the-states, the resistance to to Jim Crow, and the modern Civil Rights movement. What he cant comprehend, is the growth of a strange new “ahistorical antiracism” racism of two varieties. First, it encourages “holistic hatred, blaming all of one’s own happiness, and cosmic injustice in a manmade and natural world” blamed on white racial collectively. The second, Hanson believes most toxic, “Constructs a purported racial pathology to encourage segregation and separation from all white members of the white race, thereby limited all ‘exposure’ to a toxic people.” In 2020, on the Senate floor, U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth, (D-Ill.) vowed to block confirmation of nominees based solely on their white skin. The latest multibillion dollar aid bill is targeted for all in need-as long they are not white. Antiracism’s implicit defense is, according to Hanson, “that non-whites have less power to act out their biases than do whites, while it ‘rights’ an historical wrong.” Sixty years ago Marxist faculty members hatched their radical larvae, that metamorphosed into a mainstream political Tsetse Fly, that, like the Bolsheviks, is still deadly.
Urban liberal city mayors, town councils and radical activist prosecutors turn a blind eye to the violence, pushing a socialist agenda that feigns to have their interests, while the burden falls squarely upon the disenfranchised. Evangelicals extol active forgiveness and compassion as the trigger to start genuine reconciliation. The Bible recognizes only one race-the human race, with language and ethnic differences. Neo-Marxism will have none of that. For liberty minded constitutionalist citizens, it may come to civil disobedience. Or, at some point, taking up arms. In D.C v. Heller, 2007, the High court called it “the ancient right of individuals to keep and bear arms, so that the ideal of a citizens’ militia would be preserved.”
To our peril, Biden’s feigned ignorance of the anarchist’s end game, like Antifa and BLM, who, without fail, descend into tribal chaos and violence, masquerading as social justice warriors, cloaked in their worn out, leftover garb of Marxist ideology. Russian hackers hold our infrastructure and meat-packers ransom, China eats our economic lunch, and our liberties evanesce, while observing President Biden’s quixotic style of slaying century old ghost in Tulsa.
As a launchpad for this “next revolution” it’s irrefutable for their movement to prevail, requires the destruction of Christian absolutes and longstanding moral underpinnings. Marxist plan to silence orthodox religious expression; and replace it with theirs. Outraged? G.K. Chesterton’s helpful, “The way to love a thing is to realize that it might be lost.” Action must accompany outrage. In matters of liberty, the path of least resistance leads to ignobility and enslavement. What do you think?
